San Diego Local’s Beer Spots
Without trying to blow up the locals scene, here’s some insider info. If your in San Diego looking for some really good craft brew spots off the beaten path (because no everyone wanted to live in tourist trap land), here’s some definitely well researched & recommended spots with some really chill vibes and super delicious beer lists.
Pizza Port OB - This one is kinda just a must do for the IPA’s. They have some of the best beer in San Diego, hands down. The location in OB is super chill & if you go on a Wednesday afternoon, there is a local farmer’s market you can wander through. They have various locations around San Diego & also in San Clemente but the OB vibe you can’t beat. Wouldn’t recommend the pizza, but you do you.
Regal Beagle - This is one of those awesome hole in the wall spots next to a freeway onramp. Which, in theory sounds like the worst spot to sit and grab a beer, but in all reality, so much fun. It’s a super locals spot for the neighborhood - you can totally tell they have their regulars. Beer list is always changing and on point. The food is super fun, soak up beer situation. Personally - it’s the veggie burger, all the mustards & side of tots for me.
Fall Brewing North Park - Another fantastic local SD brewery. Lots of outdoor seating & food trucks swinging through. There’s also an awesome pizza shop next door in you need a slice fix.
Epigg Brewing - Point Loma. Just a great place to sit by the water. Beer is good & they also always have food trucks swinging through. If you’re into seafood, Point Loma Sea Food is some of the best fish (I’ve heard) in SD. Super fresh as in, you see the shipping boats heading out & coming back in from the bay.
